Covelli Centre announces Eric Church concert

Eric Church will bring his “Blood, Sweat and Beers” tour to Youngstown's Covelli Centre for a 7:30 p.m. show May 12.

Church’s 2011 release “Chief” is nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Album and features the top five country single “Drink in My Hand.” The disc also topped Spin magazine’s list of the year’s best country/Americana releases and was named one of the top 50 albums of 2011 by NPR and Rolling Stone.

Opening for Church in Youngstown will be guest Brantley Gilbert and Blackberry Smoke.

Tickets are $42.50 and $34.75 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster. Also available through Church’s website is a VIP Package that includes a pre-concert party and an acoustic performance by Church backstage.
