No respect for YSU
Apparently Jim Tressel wasn’t all that left Youngstown State seven years ago. Some national respect for the football team must be intrinsically attached to the legendary coach because it’s gone, too. That’s the only reason I can come up with for the Penguins, who upset the No. 2-ranked team in the country on Saturday, still being unranked in The Sports Network Football Championship Subdivision top 25 poll. They moved up one spot, from No. 24 to No. 23, in the FCS Coaches poll. Wow — what a leap. For a minute I thought I was looking at last week’s rankings, but then I saw North Dakota State, the team YSU beat 32-24 over the weekend, dropped quite a few spots from its No. 2 post. The Penguins would technically be the 27th-ranked team in the TSN FCS poll (both polls are on Page 3) from a points standpoint. That’s the exact same spot they were in last week. Did I mention they beat the No.
