Wood keeps him working
Joiningt fellow former employees of Delphi Packard Electric and far beyond, one Cortland resident is etching a name for himself, delighted to be an “ex-Packardite” who is self-employed. Robert “Bob” Woofter Jr. successfully made the transition from Delphi worker to business owner. In June 2007, the Lakeview High School and Kent State University graduate opened his woodcarving supply store, The Wooden Moose, 3499 Bradley-Brownlee Road, Cortland. His business venture presently includes an internationally-used Web site, www.thewoodenmoose.com, and popular eBay store, known also as The Wooden Moose, and a large mail-order catalog, which he publishes and distributes.
