I understand the concerns of addressing the root problems, but the Mahoning Valley Hope Center does try to do that. Feeding the homeless is only one part of their program.

And here is the heart of our problem with society. We want to give money, food, clothing etc. to those who we think need it but never even address the reason(s)why they are in those situations. Just like gun control - BALONEY !! take care of the mentally sick people and we won't have mass murders!!!!PERIOD.!
