Whatever beef you people have with Time Warner is irrelevant to this tragedy. This young man will forever be plagued by this tragic ACCIDENT. Pedestrians have a responsibility to use caution when crossing a busy street, especially when it's at dusk and during rush hour. This is sad and unfortunate for all parties involved.

A sad tragedy. I remember when Mayor O'bone removed all the traffic lights along 422 and Niles Rd. saying that there were to many and it interfered with traffic flow. Many of us objected for just this reason. Our biggest argument was the kids that had to cross 422 on their way to and from school daily. I think we all knew this would happen sooner or later. It never was a matter if it happened, but when will it happen.

I had one of those vans on my rear the other day and it passed me doing about 60 on Elm Rd. Also, I know a person who witnessed that accident and said she will never be able to get that image out of her head of the hit....

Agree neversummer. If it were you or I we would be cited. Amazing how Time Warner's drivers drive like bats out of h***, yet they're always late to your house.

They need better foot access and pedestrian crossings along that whole strip of 422. I hope the lady recovers.

It doesn't surprise me that something like this happened. Many times, I've seen Time Warner trucks driving without regard to other motorists, let alone any pedestrians.

Roads keep getting wider and wider for more and more traffic, but no one is or has ever considered the pedestrians that have to cross these roads.

Year after year roads such as this become more and more dangerous to pedestrians and "crosswalks", even "if", they exist become further and further between with less and less available time for pedestrians to cross.

A center lane is different from a left turn lane.

I have a feeling if was a regular citizen driving that van that charges would be filed. What kind of clout does Time Warner have with the city? I'm sure they're now exposed to a big civil lawsuit, which a criminal charge would not help with.

Must be nice to get that kind of treatment.
