DEAR EDITOR:
Driving courtesy has never been a strong point in this area. Specifically, there are too many drivers who don't understand the rules.
On two-lane roads (for example, state Route 193 and state Route 305), you should, weather permitting, drive the speed limit if you have traffic behind you. Don't go plodding along at 45 mph if the speed limit is 55 and you have a train of cars hoping for a chance to pass you.
Observation has shown that drivers of the following cars, in descending order, to be the worst offenders:
Mercury Grand Marquis (especially with whitewalls)
Vans (sometimes)
Oldsmobile (any year after 1985)
Buick (excluding drivers under 40)
Aztek (Pontiac's design nadir. They couldn't even spell " Aztec" right
Lincoln Town Car (any year)
Ed Koporc
Cortland
