Ernie and Pat Clutter of Bristolville were honored at a 50th wedding anniversary dinner celebration given by their family on March 10, 2012, at Leo's Ristorante in Howland.
After completing his junior year at Bristol High School, Ernie moved to Washington state, joined the U.S. Navy and served four years aboard the USS Kawishiwi.
Pat graduated from Bristol High School in 1958 and from Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1961.

They were married by the Rev. Richardson of the United Methodist Church in Bristolville on March 3, 1962.
Ernie worked as a stationary engineer at Ajax Magnethermic and U.S. Steel for several years before going to the Power House at the General Motors plant in Lordstown, retiring in 1998 after 31 years. He returned to work at GM several times before retiring for good in 2009.
Pat worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse for 34 years, retiring in 1995.
The couple have three children, Michael (Tracy) of Adell, Wis., Karen Clutter of Warren and Mark (Joyce) of Streetsboro. They also have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Ernie and Pat enjoy spending time with their family, and traveling. They are planning a trip to Alaska this summer.
