WARREN - Santo Stumpo, 84, passed away at 2 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Stumpo was born April 20, 1927, in Rogliano, Italy, the son of the late Carmen and Michelina Altomare Stumpo. He came from Italy to Monessen, Pa., in 1953 and came to Warren in 1967.
Santo was a member of Blessed John Paul II Parish (St. Pius X). He worked at Thomas Steel as a roller helper in the rolling mill, retiring in February 1990 after 36 years. He enjoyed gardening, wine and sausage making and cooking.

He is survived by three daughters, Anna Adams of Kent, Marie (John) Valiski of Johnston and Tina (Sean) McLaren of Cortland; one brother, Gaetano Stumpo of Rogliano; 10 grandchildren, Matthew (Kelly), Michele, Michael Adams, Christine (Dan) Gross and Joseph Valiski, Nicholas and Christopher Schuller, and Paul, Maria and Nicole Stumpo; and six great-grandchildren, Domenica and Ty Wright, Isabella, Nicholas and Addison Adams and Colin Gross and companion Sharon McElfresh. Also surviving are dear friends and neighbors, Ettore and Domencia DeCesare and Jerry and Cora Styers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Angela Stumpo, whom he married on Oct. 7, 1950, and who died in 2004; a son, Nicholas Stumpo, who died in 1998; two sisters, Adelina and Olga Stumpo; and one brother, Domenic Stumpo.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Blessed John Paul II Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Chris Henyk officiating.
Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Cortland.
