YOUNGSTOWN - Duane A. Comek, 67, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at his residence following a battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 3, 1945, in Connellsville, Pa., the son of Andrew and Edith Stull Comek.
He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motors in Lordstown.

Survivors include two daughters, Laura MacGregor Comek of Columbus and Stephanie MacGregor Comek of Youngstown; a brother, Richard Comek of Austintown; a sister, Debra Brownlie of Canfield; and eight grandchildren.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and will continue at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown.
Interment will follow in Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.
