Mr. and Mrs. Fred Liberatore Jr. of Warren were honored during a surprise 50th anniversary celebration held April 28, 2012, at Cafe 422 in Warren.
The event was hosted by the couple's two sons, Mark of Michigan and Michael of Bowling Green; their three grandchildren; and niece, Teri Surin.
Fred and the former Barbara Cicero were married May 5, 1962, in Warren.

Mr. Liberatore retired from Packard Electric in 1999 after 47 years of service. Mrs. Liberatore was employed by the Warren Telephone Co.
The couple is active members of Blessed John Paul II Parish and they enjoy singing in the choir.
Their celebration continued with a trip to Las Vegas.
