CHARDON (AP) - Students and teachers at a northeast Ohio high school where three students were shot and killed last winter are hoping for a normal school year.

Classes are back under way at Chardon High School east of Cleveland.

The school's principal says it will be a challenge to get back into a routine. The school has added a new resource officer and classroom door locks.

The News-Herald newspaper in Willoughby reports that parents spent weeks archiving cards and notes that came into the school after the shooting.

A teenager charged with killing three students in the school's cafeteria is undergoing psychological evaluations and has been charged with aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder.
