SOUTHINGTON - Ruth Robison, 100, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
She was born Jan. 22, 1912, in Warren City Hospital, which is now Trumbull Memorial Hospital, the daughter of Florence Hitchcock and Hollis Fieldhouse.
She lived all her life in Southington. In the mid-1930s, she worked for General Motors, and later on she worked for many years as a florist in Garrettsville.

She loved to travel and in her lifetime had visited all 50 states, Canada from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, Europe, Africa and most of Mexico. She had many hobbies including golf, flowers, raising dogs and gemstone search.
Her husband, Leo Robison, to whom she was married for 59 years, passed away Jan. 7, 1998. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Robert and "Skeet" Fieldhouse; and a daughter, Barbara Alice Robison.
Survivors are a son, Keith Robison of Southington; two granddaughters, Monica Moody and Michelle Lockhart, both of Southington; two great-granddaughters, Mikayla and Makenz Moody; and two great-grandsons, Michael Moody and Nicholas Lockhart.
Her life will be celebrated with a service at 6 p.m. Wednesday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Her urn will be laid to rest at a later date at Crown Hill Burial Park.
