WARREN - Jean Yungbluth, 91, passed away peacefully at 9:55 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital in Warren.
She was born in Ben Avon, Pa., the daughter of Charles and Emma (Martin) Marshall, on June 10, 1921. She married Karl F. Yungbluth on Jan. 2, 1949, with whom she spent 27 wonderful years before his passing in 1976.
A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Jean went on to attend the St. Luke's School of Nursing in Cleveland. She was a registered nurse and worked as nurse anesthetist at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren for eight years and Pine Ridge Indian Hospital in South Dakota for 10 years. She was also a veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a nurse during World War II.

She enjoyed writing, reading, poetry, music, playing the organ, and was a caregiver to her family.
Jean was an active member of Fowler United Methodist Church and belonged to several organizations, including the Eastern Star, United Methodist Women, Grange, the Starlight Card Club and her bowling team.
Jean will be sadly missed by her three sons, David (Sharon) Yungbluth of Metamora, Mich., Fred (Judy) Yungbluth of Fowler and Richard (Ellen) Yungbluth of Niles; and her daughter Karen (John) Ragan of Fort Collins, Colo. She is also survived by her many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karl F. Yungbluth; her son, Zane Yungbluth; her three sisters, Emily Shuster, Marguerite Jenkins and Marion Marshall; her brother, Martin Marshall; and her great-granddaughter, Nicole Yungbluth.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, 6923 Warren Sharon Road, Brookfield.
An Eastern Star Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fowler United Methodist Church, corner of state Routes 193 and 305, with Pastor Daniel Wilson officiating. Friends may also call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at the Crown Hill Memorial Cemetery, Vienna.
