LEAVITTSBURG - Willard B. Blake, 67, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 19, 2012, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
He was born Oct. 31, 1944, in Phillippi, W.Va., the son of the late Brooks Blake and Reva Allen Blake of Champion. He was a lifetime Trumbull County resident.
Willard retired in 2001 after 40 years of service from Polivka Surface Engineering, where he was a supervisor. He enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions and garage sales and was an avid sports card collector.

Willard was a devoted husband and loving father. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and was very much a people person.
Willard is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara A. Yarosh Blake, whom he married July 4, 1967; his mother, Reva Blake and Dominic Ricelli of Champion; one daughter, Belinda (Max) Decker of Southington; two sons, Robert and Willard (Carrie) Jr. both of Leavittsburg; six grandchildren, Robert, Nick, Tina, Susan, Austin and Jaclyn; and five sisters, Clara "Snooks" (Harold) Hathaway of Leavittsburg, Donna (Jack) Gwinn of North Bloomfield, Rita (Joseph) Kook of Cortland, Brenda (Tom) Dama of Canfield and Shelley DeMartini of Warren.
He was preceded in death by his father; two sons, James and Steve; and one brother, Eddie Blake.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, with Pastor Jim Dittmar officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
