PARIS TOWNSHIP - Emily Marie Kivimaki Danes, 29, and Jamie T. Danes, 37, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, in an automobile accident in Newton Township.
Emily was born Oct. 3, 1982, in Geneva, the daughter of Raymond J. and Cathy A. Cooper Kivimaki.
She was a collections specialist for Cadle Co. in Newton Falls, a Cub Scout leader and enjoyed watching high school bands.

Their greatest joy was watching their son Brendan play sports.
Besides their son, Emily is survived by her loving parents of Jefferson; brothers, Mark (Allison) Kivimaki of Birmingham, Mich., and Daniel Kivimaki of Jefferson; grandparents, James and Janet Cooper of Greenville, Pa., aunts Colleen Cooper, Karen (Doug Roberts) Cooper, Barb (Jim) Tekavec and Elizabeth Slapak, and goddaughter Brooke Kivimaki.
Jamie was born June 29, 1975, in Ravenna, the son of John A. and Carol A. Singleton Danes.
He was employed as a meat cutter for Rulli Brothers in Austintown, was an avid Steelers fan, loved sports and spending time with his family.
Besides their son, Jamie leaves behind his parents of Palmyra; his sister, Michelle (Glen, Jr) Stutzman of Brimfield; brother, John (Dreamma) Danes of Palmyra; nieces, Jordan Danes, Heather Harvey and Ashley Young, and nephews Dominic Danes and Ryan Stutzman.
Memorial calling hours for Jamie and Emily will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
Their memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jody Hill and the Rev. John Madden officiating.
In lieu of flowers the families are requesting memorials to the family care of funeral home.
