CHAMPION - Pauline Kellogg, 87, died peacefully Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Windsor House in Champion.
She was the daughter of Michael and Kathryn Smerik, born Oct. 15, 1924, in Senecaville.
She married David W. Kellogg on July 3, 1948. She was his constant companion and helper on their Jersey farm in Rome, Ohio. They also enjoyed traveling and had many camping adventures together.

She graduated from the Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse.
She loved spending time with her family, especially enjoying grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Rome Presbyterian Church. She was also active in the Ladies Aide Society at church and the Roman Candles as well as Farm Bureau.
She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, and used her nursing skills to care for family and friends whenever she was needed.
Pauline is survived by a daughter, Chris (Dick) Hiestan of Orwell; sons, David Lee (Susan) of Rome, Dan of Kinsman, Tim (Jan) of Columbus and Eric (Cindy) of Russell Springs, Ky. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Janet, Michael, Scott, Adam, Kyle, Colton, Garrett, Kate, Andrew, David, Mary and Alexis, and seven great-grandchildren. She is survived by one sister, Helen Hyde of Warren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters, Carole and Colleen; a granddaughter, Courtney; her parents; four brothers, John, Frank, Mike and Andrew; and two sisters, Mildred and Marie.
The life of Pauline Kellogg will be celebrated with a memorial service to be held at 3 p.m Oct. 20 at Rome Presbyterian Church, 5182 state Route 45, Rome, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashtabula County Agricultural Scholarship Fund.
The Kellogg family would like to especially thank the nursing staff at the Windsor House in Champion for lovingly caring for Pauline during the last years of her life.
