AUSTINTOWN - Zoning officials are in the process of reviewing plans submitted for construction of a Tractor Supply Co. store proposed for Mahoning Avenue.
If approved, the 20,000-square-foot store would be located on about 5 acres just west of Wilcox Road on the southern side of Mahoning Avenue.
The plans were submitted about two weeks ago, and township zoning officials gave no indication how long it might be until there is a decision regarding approval.
Tractor Supply Co. spokesman Rob Hoskins said, "The area is attractive due to the part-time and hobby farmers and horse owners in the area."
Hoskins declined to specifically confirm the possible construction, but said the company is growth-minded and always looking for new store locations that are a good fit for the company's target market.
Tractor Supply Company is the leading retail farm and ranch store brand in America.
