HARTFORD - Marvin O. Oney Sr., 72, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Lake Vista Nursing Home in Cortland.
He was born Dec. 25, 1939, in Niles, the son of Olvie and Odna B. Upton Oney.
Marvin was a veteran of the Ohio National Guard, retired as a meat cutter and was owner-operator of Classic Kennels in Hartford. Marvin was Christian by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Danko Oney; three children, Marvin O. Oney Jr. of Archie, Mo., David L. Oney of Hartford and Pamela K. Oney of Hartford; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Private family services were held, and entombment was at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.
