BOARDMAN - Richard A. ''Rick'' O'Mellan, 64, died Friday afternoon, Oct. 12, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown after suffering a heart attack.
Richard was born May 5, 1948, in Youngstown, the son of Francis and Geraldine Eachus O'Mellan.
He was general manager of NAMRED LLC.

He is survived by his wife, the former Virginia Szalaj; two daughters, Jennifer O'Mellan and Stefanie O'Mellan of Boardman; a son, Richard J. O'Mellan of Las Vegas; a sister, Deborah O'Mellan of Campbell; a brother, Kenneth O'Mellan of South Carolina; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, where friends may call from 4 to 6:45 p.m. Monday.
