Still time to Make A Difference

October 21, 2012
By ASHLEY NEWMAN (anewman@tribtoday.com) , Tribune Chronicle | TribToday.com

The annual Make A Difference Day is this week, and many in the community want to help but don't know how.

For them, a wide array of projects still need volunteers.

Following is a list of worthy causes set for Saturday.

Make A Difference Day is a national day of volunteerism held the fourth Saturday in October and sponsored locally by the Tribune Chronicle and nationally by USA Weekend Magazine.

Visit www.tribtoday.com and click on the Make A Difference Day link to register a project, see what projects are available and need volunteers, volunteer yourself, and print out forms, including the cornhole tournament registration form.

Official 2012 Make A Difference Day T-shirts are $10 each and are available in the Tribune Chronicle lobby. Other arrangements may also be made for acquiring a T-shirt by contacting event coordinator Sue Shafer at 330-841-1696. Any shirts not sold in advance will be available at the Make A Difference Day Volunteer Picnic.
