SOUTHINGTON - Margaret A. Speck, 91, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at her granddaughter's residence.
She was born on Oct. 2, 1921, in Ravenna, the daughter of Seth and Leena Krebs Hopkins.
She married Orville Speck and lived in Geauga County and the Kent area for years. Margaret was a receptionist for several years at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. Her hobbies included Scrabble, sewing and drawing pictures.

She will be missed dearly by her friends and family, two sons, Alan (Wilma) Speck of Champion and Stephan (Karen) Speck of Chardon; her granddaughter, Stephanie (David) Dupree of Southington; and three great-grandchildren, Shelby, Preston, and Julie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Orville Spec, in 2006; her parents, Seth and Leena Hopkins; and her sister, Dorothy Delazal.
