Mission seeks toys for Christmas

MISSION SEEKS TOY DONATIONS: The Warren Family Mission is in need of toys for children of all ages for the Christmas toy giveaway outreach. Signups are under way, with more than 400 families in need of toys this year. New, unwrapped toys for boys and girls of all ages can be dropped off at 361 Elm Road daily or 2671 Youngstown Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.

BASKETS RAFFLE AT CHOIR EVENT: The Mathews Choral Department will hold a basket raffle at 7 p.m. Wednesday during the winter concert at Mathews High School. All proceeds will go to the choral department to help with yearly expenses. For further information, call 330-394-1138.

WALK WARM OFFERED: Project Walk Warm is being held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Thursdays through April 4 at Champion Middle School. Champion residents age 18 and older may walk in the middle school during inclement weather. Walkers are required to sign in each day that they walk. A nurse will be available from 3 to 3:30 p.m. the second Monday of the month for blood pressure checks.

MEMORY TREE AT CITY BUILDING: The Hubbard Alumni Association will show the Memory Tree in the city building for the holiday season. For those wanting to purchase a bulb, cost is $1.

EVENT FOR SENIORS: The Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District will host a "Watershed Field School: Senior Edition" for individuals interested in the environment from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Trumbull County Agriculture / Family Education Center, 520 W. Main St., Cortland. Activities will be designed as a wildlife habitat enhancement project and will be installed at the center. The program is free but registration is required by Tuesday at 330-637-2056, Ext. 111.
