Shirley E. Miller 1932-2012

WARREN - Shirley E. Miller, 80, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Hospice House of Poland.

She was born April 13, 1932, in Warren, the daughter of the late Asba and Hester Thomas Botts.

Shirley was a graduate of Leavittsburg High School and retired from Packard Electric after 30 years of service as an inspector.

Mrs. Miller enjoyed reading and jumble word games, and was actively involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, John E. Miller, whom she married March 30, 1951; her five children, Randy (Donna) Miller of Liberty, Sharon (James) Deverick of Champion, Lee Dicks of Warren, Terrance (Amy) Miller of Champion and Jeffrey Miller of Champion; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Colleen (Elvin) Sell of Florida and Diana Baxendale of North Carolina.

Other than her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Perry, Harold, Bruce and Clie Botts and Vera Jones.

Family and friends may gather and share memories from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Miller residence. Burial of her cremated remains will be at Champion Township Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

The family requests that material contributions be made to the Hospice House of Poland, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514, in her memory.
