WARREN - Robert J. Gardner Sr., 75, died at 2:41 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 24, 1937, in Akron, the son of the late Justin and Anna Colopy Gardner.
Robert was a 1955 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Akron. Mr. Gardner was a self-employed title examiner at the Gardner Title Agency in Warren, which he owned and operated and retired from in 2006.

He was a big Ohio State Buckeyes fan and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.
Mr. Gardner was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran, serving during peacetime, and was stationed in Korea for a short time.
Survivors include his companion, Mildred Hawes of Warren; his five children, Marianne Fleischer of Champion, Patricia (Thomas) Bickerstaff of Mineral Ridge, Justine (Kenneth) Koenig of Jacksonville, N.C., Robert J. Gardner Jr. of Chevak, Alaska, and Christine (Jeff) Callow of Girard; five grandsons, Ryan and Brandon Fleischer, Alex and Adam Koenig and Kyle Bickerstaff; and his three siblings, Gertrude Flechler and Mary Lou (Richard) Novitsky, both of Akron, and James (Janet) Gardner of Wadsworth.
Other than his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Katherine Semelsberger, Marie Gardner, Gerald Gardner and Anne Smylie.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Warren First Church of the Nazarene, where Pastor Broe Davis will celebrate Robert's life.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
