CANFIELD - Robert F. "Bob" Hocevar, 72, died at 5:32 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center surrounded by his family and following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 24, 1940, in Windber, Pa., the son of Frank and Louise Hocevar.
Bob graduated Magna Cum Laude from Penn State University in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. He retired in 2001 from Delphi as a plant manager after 31 years of service. The pride of his career was leading the start up and running Plant 47 in Vienna, which was a world-class manufacturing operation.

Hocevar
Bob enjoyed hunting, especially with his longtime friend, Gene Swansboro, and his son, Mark, and spending the winters in Florida enjoying the sun and friends.
He was of Lutheran faith and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his loving wife, Andrea, whom he married May, 7, 1997; two children, Mark (Sheri) Hocevar of Howland and Michele (Roger) Peterson of Cortland; six grandchildren, Joshua, Erika, Jacob, Anna, Sidney and Jack; and a brother, Raymond (Linda) Hocevar of St. Michael, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Feeley.
Friends and family may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Eisweirth officiating.
