Rosalie M. Murch 1941-2013

WARREN - Rosalie Marie Murch, 71, died Sunday evening, Jan. 27, 2013, in the emergency room of Trumbull Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

She was born May 21, 1941, in Mansfield, the daughter of the late Placido Lewis and Helen Theresa Rosella Gonzalez.

Rosalie was a 1961 graduate of Bellville High School. While in high school, she was the lead actress in her senior play; chosen Cupid's Hop senior attendant; was a member of Future Teachers of America, Future Homemakers of America, the chorus and Glee Club and the bowling team; was on the staff of the school newspaper, The Chatter Box; and was an honor student.

Rosalie was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mansfield. She was a creative and joyful person and an expert seamstress. She had worked for Strouss' Department Store and was a competitive shopper for F.W. Woolworth Co.

She served as a den mother for Cub Scouts, volunteered for various organizations for her children and chaperoned events for mentally and physically disadvantaged children, as well. Her family remembers her as a kind and gentle soul, always generous and loving, with a smile for everyone.

Rosalie is survived by one daughter, Theresa A. Rosenkrans of Bellville; two sons, Jack E. Murch and John D. Murch Jr., both of Warren; one grandson, Dustin Rosenkrans of Bellville; one brother, Carl (Judy) Gonzalez of Bellville; two sisters, Fran Truax and Mari Ann (Dan) Hoover, both of Bellville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her husband, John Henry Murch; a brother, Donald Gonzalez; and her parents have all preceded her in death.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the service Monday. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
