AUSTINTOWN - John N. Opritza, 93, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Brookdale Clarebridge Cottage Assisted Living.
John was born Jan.29, 1920, in Youngstown, the son of Nicholas and Anna Besoiu Opritza.
A United States Navy veteran of World War II, John retired from Dart Trucking in Canfield.

He was a member of Western Reserve Community Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Nancy LaCivita of Boardman; a brother, Dan Opritza of Warren and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Marrie Opritza, two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Western Reserve Community Church and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
