YOUNGSTOWN - Mela Esposito, 98, died Monday evening, Feb. 18, 2013, with her family by her side.
Mela was born May 29, 1914, in Youngstown, the daughter of Frank and Anna Colla Bologna.
She had been employed at Strouss Department Store in central wrapping, and was a member of St. Patrick Church.

Survivors include her children, Frank Jr., Melanie Cox and Anita Bogan, all of Boardman; three sisters, twin Nancy Culotta of Angola, N.Y., Jayne "Muffie" Michaels of Parma and Yolanda Labate of Boardman; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank V. Esposito Sr.; two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home in Boardman. There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown, preceded by a 10:45 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
