CHAMPION - Joseph F. Baka, 87, of Champion, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 26, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 22, 1925, in Champion, the son of the late Joseph and Roselia Balogh Baka.
Joe was a 1943 graduate of Champion High School and had attended Youngstown College.

He was a tool and die engineer with Packard Electric for 38 years, retiring in 1985.
Joe was a member and former treasurer of the Trumbull County Rod and Gun Club. He had also served as a pack leader with the Webelos Cub Scouts and an assistant scout master with Troop 25 of the Boy Scouts of America in Champion.
Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Maydak Baka, whom he married Sept. 1, 1956; two sons, Michael (Shelley) Baka of Pahrump, Nev., and Mark Baka of Champion; one daughter, Deborah (Edward) Baldwin of LaVista, Neb.; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Roselia Ellis and Elizabeth Feher.
Per Mr. Baka's wishes, there will be no services or calling hours.
