MANSFIELD - Rose "Rosie" Femia Wilson, 76, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Liberty Nursing Center after an extended battle with Alzheimer's.
Rosie was born March 20, 1936, in Bishop, Va., the daughter of Giuseppe and Clorinda Sardenell Femia.
She was a 1953 graduate of St. Peter's High School. Rosie was a homemaker until her children went to school and then volunteered for St. Peter's Cafeteria and the March of Dimes.

She later worked at George Fox Collection agency, and her hobbies included bowling, tennis and reading. Rosie loved cooking and baking for her sons, especially baking Christmas cookies and her Sunday spaghetti and meatballs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ralph Edward Wilson of Mansfield; sons, Joseph (Brenda) of Cortland, Michael (Becky) of Newark, Christopher (Jennifer) of Placentia, Calif., and Brian (Donna) of Lexington; grandchildren, Nichole, Jennifer, Brandon, Lyndsay, Rebecca, Kyle, Ellen, Cameron and Julia; great-grandchildren, Glenn, Logan and Grayson; brothers, Bruno (Ann) Femia of Columbus and Dominic (Ginny) Femia of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Francesca (Jim) Hahn of Marlton, N.J., and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Ave. West, with a vigil service at 2 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom McQuillen officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Monsignor Dunn Foundation or Harbor Light Hospice.
