WARREN - The Civil Service Commission will hold a hearing to determine whether a fired Warren City Schools employee had the right to have a hearing before the termination..

Attorney Martin Hume suggested that his client, Honeya D'Jerras Price, did not receive a required hearing before the Civil Service Commission before her Jan. 31 firing.

Hume said Price has worked for the school district since 2008. At the time of her firing she was a school/family liaison assigned at Lincoln K-8 school.

"She either would like to be reinstated or, at least, have a hearing at which she can argue why she should not have been terminated," Hume told commission members.

Price was stopped and charged with having loaded .40 caliber pistol in her car. She was off duty and away from school property.
