LIBERTY - Irene Mae Kardas, 85, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman.
Irene was born May 28, 1927, in Youngstown, the daughter of Louis G. and Irene Mae Stanley Killmeyer.
She worked for First National Bank and was a member of St. Edward Church.

Besides her husband, Michael John Kardas, survivors include her children, Michael John Kardas of Baltimore, Patricia Libhart of Marietta and Mary Beth Christoff of Mineral Ridge; her sister, Jeanne Marie Dereich of Struthers; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. today at St. Edward Church in Youngstown. There will be calling hours one hour prior to Mass at the church.
