Hubbard woman's body found in icy waters
Authorities identified the body of a woman they said appeared to have fallen through the ice at the Shenango Reservoir in Transfer, Pa.
Pymatuning police said they had been searching for Jean Black, 56, of Hubbard, since about 9:40 a.m. Thursday before recovering her body two hours later.
They said she was found about 40 feet from the shore.
She was reported missing Wednesday. Police said they believe Black was trying to rescue her dogs after they fell through the ice. It appeared she had also fallen through the ice and drowned. Police said they do not believe there was any foul play, and it appears Black's death was an accident.
Police said Black's car was found at the Shenango Camp, which is a common place for dog walking. They said it was reported that Black frequented the area where her body was found.
