STRUTHERS - Youngstown Christian held off a late Wellsville charge to win the Division IV Struthers district crown, 75-73.
Wellsville dropped 29 points on Youngstown Christian in the fourth, thanks to Nate Scott scoring 15 of his game-high 28 points in the final 8 minutes. The Eagles were 3 of 8 performance from the charity stripe, but held on for the win.
Jayquan Yanno paced the Eagles with 18 points, Daylan Williams had 15 and Darian Townsend added 14 points.
The Eagles will play the winner of today's Byesville district final between Hannibal River and Berlin Hiland at 1 p.m. The regional semifinal will be at 6:15 on Tuesday at Canton Memorial Fieldhouse.
