MELBOURNE, Fla. - Catherine M. ''Kate'' Sorice, 95, formerly of Boardman, died Jan. 11, 2013, in Melbourne, Fla.
She was born Sept. 23, 1917, in Youngstown, the daughter of Nicholas and Lucia Amicone Davanzo.
Catherine was a homemaker and a member of St. Charles Church.

Survivors include two children, Patricia Shumaker of Phoenix and Samuel J. Jr. of Satellite Beach, Fla.; a sister, Carmel Catanzaro of Youngstown; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Sorice, and a brother and a sister.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Church.
The Rossi and Santucci Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
