The driver of the SUV that crashed Sunday in Warren, killing six teenagers and injuring two others, was not suspected of using drugs and alcohol, according to a crash report released by the Ohio State Patrol today.
Alexis Cayson, 19, of 7th Street S.W., who did not have a valid driver's license, was distracted by something that happened inside the SUV, the report states.
Investigators said speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
OSP Lt. Anne R. Ralston, public affairs commander, said additional information will be released as it becomes finalized. Ralston said OSP is still waiting for toxicology reports. Autopsies performed on the off the victims on Monday found they drowned. Autopsies on the other three victims are scheduled for today.
