Roy J. Weber 1944-2013

BERLIN CENTER - Roy Joseph Weber, 69, died Monday, March 4, 2013, in Aubrey, Texas, while visiting his wife's sister.

He was born Jan. 2, 1944, in Canfield, the son of Raymond and Doris Weber.

Roy was a 1963 graduate of Canfield High School and also attended drafting school, receiving a degree in drafting. He had a machinist degree and worked as a machinist at LTV and Warren Consolidated Steel Mill in Warren, retiring after 35 years. He was affectionately called "Ducky" by his co-workers.

He was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Alliance and a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Austintown.

He loved working on cars, model airplanes and motorcycles. He could fix almost anything.

He was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, brother and father-in-law. He enjoyed helping others and was always there for everyone in need.

He leaves his wife, Judith Snyder Weber of Berlin Center; his two brothers, Ronald and Richard Weber, both of Canfield; three daughters, Krista Colleen Weber of Craig Beach, Karisa Nadine Hough of Atwater and Kimberly Sue Weber Abi-Salloum of Streetsboro; also three grandchildren, Miranda Haley Ormiston, Nathan Conner Hough and Cory Tyler Hough.

Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Megan Elliot officiating.

Interment will be in Paradise Lutheran Church of Canfield.

Arrangements handled by Davis-Becker Funeral Home now serving at our new location, 8536 Market St. in Boardman.
