YELLOW CREEK -- Firefighters from Highlandtown and Wellsville extricated Nicole Zernich of Lisbon after a single-car rollover crash on state Route 39 just east of Bill Smith Road in Yellow Creek Township Tuesday evening.
Zernich was airlifted from the scene by Air Evac and taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with undisclosed injuries. Trooper Joy Bolen of the highway patrol is investigating the crash in which the westbound vehicle went off the r
ight side of the road and overturned, coming to rest on the its roof. Zernich was wearing a seat belt.
