LIBERTY - Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Kay, 89, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at her residence.
Liz was born Dec. 9, 1923, in Girard.
She was a homemaker for most of her life and had previously worked for Strouss' in downtown Youngstown and Steel City in Youngstown.

Liz was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church.
During her lifetime, Liz belonged to several card clubs and golf leagues and was a den mother for Boy Scouts.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joann Kay of Liberty; grandchildren, Herb (Heather) Kay IV and Cathy (Nick) Macchione; and great-grandchildren, Megan, Victoria, Andrew, Sammy, Vinni and Zac.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert N. Kay Jr.; a son, Herbert N. Kay III; and sisters, Catherine Hoopes and Dorothy Allen.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Interment will follow at Churchill Cemetery.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
