ORWELL - George W. Quiggle, 89, died Sunday, March 17, 2013.
"On Sunday, March 17, 2013, angels came down, grasped the frail hands of a true craftsman and took him home to be with God."
George W. Quiggle has spent the last two years at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home.

George was born June 26, 1923, in Johnston, where he resided with his parents, James Lawrence and Blanche Williams Quiggle.
During his working years, George had been employed by Maplewood and Farmington school districts as a janitor; he worked at Kmart and Super Kmart in the Garden Center, and finally retired from his duties as head electrician at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was a jack-of-all-trades and was always there to lend a hand to his friends and his family.
For many years, George enjoyed the company of friends in his memberships to the Moose Lodge and the Lions Club.
The true love of his life was building his covered bridges to scale. He also enjoyed the time spent with his toy poodle, Tony, which he had to leave when he fell ill.
Preceding George were his loving wife for 55 years, Eva, who went with God on Feb. 4, 2003; his parents; and his two brothers, Donald and Harry.
Memories of George will be carried on by his family, his three sons, Melvin of Bristolville, Ronald (Karen) of Middlefield and Edward (Kim) of California; a daughter, Barbara of West Mecca; his six grandchildren, Craig, Heather, September, Jillian, Brandon and Melanie; his four great-grandchildren, Savannah, Maverick, Blake and Tanner; his brothers, Emery (Lois), Robert (Pat) and Carl; and his sister, Lucy.
The family would like to extend a special thanks "to Kathy Wolfe for showing us Eagle Pointe and going above and beyond the call of duty.
''Also, a thank you to everyone at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home for all the loving care and compassion given to our dad; he loved you all.
''I would also like to extend a big thank you to Hospice of the Western Reserve in Ashtabula for their loving care and compassion; they will always hold a very special place in my father's heart and mine. You truly are wonderful people.
''Kathy and Karen, thanks for always getting a message to whomever I needed to talk to, and Jack, thanks for sitting with Dad; it meant the world to him. God Bless you all."
The family will meet friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls. The family will also meet with friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Edward Lord officiating.
George will be laid to rest in the Sager Memorial Cemetery in Bristol Township.
