VIENNA - Enterprise Rent-A-Car is joining Avis / Budget as an onsite car rental provider at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport.
The Western Reserve Port Authority, the board that runs the airport, approved the two, two-year rental car concession agreements on Wednesday. Before, Enterprise's only presence in the terminal was a telephone for on-call, off-site rentals.
It's estimated that with the agreements and Hertz providing off-site services, the airport will see a $34,139 increase in revenue.
Under the new agreements, there is a $1.50 increase to the concession facility charge to $4, which will be used to help pay for a car wash, said director of aviation Dan Dickten. It's a fee charged to users to help pay for improvements at the airport.
The agreements also call for an option to renew for another two years.
