HOWLAND - Thomas E. Boyd, 48, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday March 13, 2013, following a sudden heart attack.
Tom was born Aug. 13, 1964, in Warren, the son of Thomas H. and Nancy C. Swindler Boyd.
He was a 1983 graduate of Howland High School and had worked as a self-employed carpet installer for the past 25 years. Tom had enjoyed being a backyard mechanic working on cars and had also been a member of several area pool leagues.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Candice M. Boyd (Nick) D'Agati of Howland; his son, Tommy D. Boyd of Champion; mother, Nancy C. (Elton) Maybee of Niles; father, Thomas H. (Mary) Boyd of Cortland; sister, Lana C. Maybee (Keith) Beers of Niles; two brothers, Bill E. (Amanda) Boyd and Sam G. (Nicole) Boyd, all of Cortland; his beloved granddaughter, Katerina A. D'Agati; and by his many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Niles Chapel, at 415 Robbins Ave., Niles, from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Doug Garasic of The Movement Church officiating.
