LIBERTY - Police are looking for two men they believe are trying to scam senior citizens out of money.
Police said they have received two reports of senior citizens being approached at Giant Eagle and at the PNC Bank, state Route 304 and Belmont Avenue, recently.
The men tell them that they have inherited money and that they need them to go to their banks and take out money, according to Liberty police.
Police said the senior citizens are told that once they give the men the "earnest" money they can split the inheritance with them.
"We're just trying to put it out there to warn people and to also locate these men and stop them," explained Liberty police Chief Rich Tisone. "Believe it or not people actually fall for this. We're hoping to get it out there and let people know about it as soon as possible."
Individuals who have had contact with these men or have any information are asked to contact Liberty Police at 330-759-1511 or 330-675-2730.
