HARTFORD - A ribbon-cutting will be held Tuesday for the recently replaced bridge along Five Points-Hartford Road that spans Yankee Run.
According to the Trumbull County Engineer's Department, the new structure is a 90-foot, single span, steal beam superstructure.
As part of the work, the bridge was widened from 15 feet to 38 feet.
A co-effort with the Ohio Department of Transportation, 80 percent of the construction costs was funded with federal money; the remaining funding came through the Ohio Public Works Commission.
After the 11:30 a.m. event, the span will be open to traffic.
Yankee Run is a tributary of the Shenango River.
