YOUNGSTOWN - A city man accused of grabbing a woman downtown and dragging her behind a building last week is facing a second-degree felony abduction charge.
Manteen Ed Abdullah, 51, of East Princeton Avenue, was charged in Youngstown Municipal Court with second-degree felony abduction.
Police said a woman was walking on Commerce Street near Hazel Avenue downtown about 7 p.m. Sept. 3 when Abdullah approached her and asked why she was walking alone. The woman said she told him that she was meeting her boyfriend at Taco Bell.
Police said Abdullah then grabbed her hair and asked for a kiss. Reports state that woman tried to run but Abdullah grabbed her shirt and pushed her toward the parking lot behind the Voinovich Building, telling her that if she screamed he would kill her.
