WARREN - Anna C. "Anka" Pehanich, 91, of Warren, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Albert, W.Va., a daughter of the late Michael and Julia Sekela Cristo.
She married John Pehanich in June of 1924.

She was employed with Packard Electric for eight years and then worked on the truck and car line for General Motors in Lordstown for 26 years.
Anna was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, former member of the Ladies Society, and enjoyed cooking, playing the slots and was a Sunshine Girl.
She is survived by her sister, Julie "Tootsie" Cristo, and brother, Andrew Cristo, both of Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Pehanich; and brothers, Mike, Martin and Nicholas Cristo.
Services for Anna will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2053 North Road N.E., Warren, OH 44483, where the Rev. Kenneth Bachofsky will officiate. Friends are kindly invited to visit from 9:30 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Anna will be laid to rest in Pineview Memorial Park, Warren.
The family requests that material contributions be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2053 North Road N.E., Warren, OH 44483, in her memory.
