WARREN - Victims services agencies in Trumbull and Mahoning counties will receive a portion of $17 million in state and federal grants to further their work.
The majority of the funding awarded is continuing the federal Victims of Crime Act and State Victims Assistance Act funding for 2013-14, according to a news release from Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine's Office today.
Receiving funding in Trumbull was the county prosecutor's office, $100,754; Rape Crisis Team of Trumbull County, $46,641; Someplace Safe Inc., $113,858; and Warren Municipal Court, $23,475.
In Mahoning County, the Help Hotline Crisis Center will receive $$44,427; the Children and Family Services-Crime Victims Program, $151,709; Mahoning County Prosecutor's Office, $114,649; and the Mahoning County Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian Ad Litem Program, $12,230.
The grants are funded by court costs and license reinstatement fees.
