BLOTT HOLIDAY PROJECT IN LIBERTY: The Blott Holiday Project is under way to get gifts for children who are in need at the holidays. Each will receive a toy, a game, an outfit, and a book. Donations will be accepted at trees at the Liberty Township lobby, the Liberty Library, West Fork Roadhouse, Great Clips, Walmart, Hair Styling Concepts, Jewish Community Center and Temple El Emeth. Deadline for gifts is Saturday at Churchill United Methodist Church. Members of the church provide the outfits each year. There are tags on the trees and in the baskets for those children who would love to wake up to a visit by Santa. Wrapping and packing the gifts for Santa will be held at 9 a.m. Dec. 12 at the church. Donations of paper, bows and bags are appreciated.
YWCA HOSTS HOLIDAY EVENT: The YWCA, 375 N. Park Ave., of Warren will host a holiday craft show and bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be various vendors, handmade crafts, jewelry, and baked goods. Free admission. Call 330-373-1010.
VOCAL GROUP TO PERFORM: The Vocal Alliance Barbershop Quartet will present a festive evening of song at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Howland Library Branch, 9095 E. Market St. The event is being hosted by the Friends of the Howland Library.
FALLS EVENT FEATURES: Santa Claus will be at the Newton Falls Family Dollar from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday. Santa will be escorted by the Newton Falls Police and Trumbull County Sheriff Department. Special guest will be from the United States Army Camp, Ravenna. A collection of canned goods, nonperishable food items, warm clothes, and toys will be collected by Church Mouse in Newton Falls.
GIRARD HOSTS SANTA: Girard will welcome Santa to a celebration at 11 a.m. Saturday in the city building gymnasium. There will be a bake sale, coloring contest, Santa workshop, raffles and gifts to purchase. Santa will arrive by fire truck. Proceeds benefit scholarships.
HOLIDAY PERFORMANCE: The 18th annual Tapestries of Ohio Medieval Celebration at Christmastime will be held Friday, Dec. 13 and Saturday, Dec. 14.
