WARREN - Regis Francis Boyle, 80, of Warren, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Community Skilled Health Care Centre.
Regis was born Sept. 23, 1933, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Frank and Agnes Boyle.
He was a 1951 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and was a member of the track team. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (SS. Cyril and Methodius Church).
Regis retired in 1987 as a roller in the 35-inch mill at Copperweld Steel Corp. after 36 years.
He enjoyed volunteering at SS. Cyril and Methodius, making perogies and kolachi, and was an avid sports fan.
Regis served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Boyle, whom he married Sept. 15, 1956; three sons, Gary (Tina) Boyle of Springfield, Va., and Kevin Boyle and Douglas Boyle, both of Warren; three grandchildren; and a brother, John H. "Jack" Boyle of Niles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rita M. Biggs.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. today and from noon to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (SS. Cyril and Methodius Church) with the Rev. Jeffery Stealey officiating.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
