WEATHERSFIELD - A pedestrian who walked away from an accident last week is accused of being involved in two burglaries in the township.
Police were called to the area of Austintown Warren Road for a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian around 8:20 p.m. Thursday.
Police said a man later identified as John D. Wilson, 26, walked away from the the accident, but was spotted soon after near a local mobile home park.
Police claim that Wilson lied about his identity, but they confirmed his name, that he was the same man in the accident, and that he had had in his possession property from a burglary.
A short time later, police received another call about a separate burglary they believe was connected to Wilson.
Wilson is facing two counts of burglary, falsification and drug charges. His bond was set at $7,500 during his arraignment Friday in Niles Municipal Court.
He is due back in municipal court at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday for a preliminary hearing and pretrial.
